Observed what I thought was one humpback repeatedly tail slapping near the mouth of Annette Bay. Approximately 20 minutes later, two humpbacks were observed lunge feeding in Nicholas Passage from Rotary Beach. I am guessing one of these whales was the tail slapper I had previously seen. One of the whales appeared to be quite a bit smaller than the other whale. Perhaps it was a mom and a calf. Several hours later near Knudson Cove, two humpbacks were seen swimming a short distance from the marina.
