Observed two humpbacks near Carroll Inlet. The whales seemed to be together when we first spotted them, as their spouts appeared to be right next to each other. As we got closer to them, they had split up and were heading in opposite directions. They then circled back and both stayed in the same general area. The first whale was farther out in more open water, while the second whale seemed to be staying close to shore. I was able to get photos of the underside of their flukes, but unfortunately they are blurry and unusable due to distance.
