Birds have been hard to come by this winter. Eagles are always a guarantee, and so now I have several photos of two different eagles that I encountered on separate days. I have held on to them for several weeks now trying to get excited about editing them. I keep hoping I will talk myself into deleting them, but I end up finding something about a particular photo that I like.

Harbor seals have been hauling out on the docks in Auke Bay. I look forward to this every winter, although I end up with too many photos of seals. One seal in particular was very accommodating. We spent a day on Antelope Island looking for birds and other wildlife. Antelope Island is the largest Island on the Great Salt Lake. The lake attracts millions of migrating birds each year. The island is also home to a herd of bison, pronghorn, mule deer, big horn sheep, coyotes, and bobcats. We managed to find a few bison and a small herd of pronghorn. It is a beautiful area, and I am looking forward to going back. |
