Auke Bay Humpback...again

Another amazing day at Auke Bay.  When I first arrived I instantly noticed four sea lions swimming around the docks among a large school of herring.  Approximately 30 minutes after I arrived, the whale appeared.  It spent some time swimming around the docks like the previous days, but then it began lunge feeding right next to boats and docks.  It lunged twice roughly 20 feet away from where I was standing.  On two occasions I was able to clearly see the whales entire body under the water.  I could see its long pectoral fins and fluke.  It was such an amazing experience!  The whale stayed in the area for approximately an hour and a half.  After it left, I noticed the herring and the sea lions were gone.  

I did not have my camera with me.  I am extremely disappointed that I did not get any photos; however, I am thrilled that I was able to see the whale with my own two eyes.  I did manage to get one terrible cell phone video.
