Solo humpback swimming all around us, with our motor of for a couple hours. Tail slapping, lunge feeding. Great show.
Watched two humpbacks swimming SE down the Clarence Strait from Tatoosh Islands to Clover Pass, continue down the Tongass Narrows.
Behavior was feeding along the shore, coming to the surface every few minutes. When surfacing, they were on their pectoral fins, scooping with mouths agape. Frequent flukes. Rough water prevented many photos. |
